WORKOUT

Easy 6 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill

My knee crept up a bit, but nothing out of the norm. Excited for my long run tomorrow using my Pro Tec Petalla Tendon Strap :)

Man, I’ve been killing it with the rhyming post titles, haha! Check out Riley’s claws… she was very patient with me for this picture…

IMAG0429Raarrr! We HAD to do something about those killer nails. They scratch the crap out of Todd when they play rough, which is daily. People probably think I abuse him with all the red marks he has on his arms. Yesterday I decided to get this situation under control, so to PetSmart we went. She knew we weren’t headed to the park, trail or Grandma’s (my mom’s) and whined most of the car ride there. Smart girl. She sat like a princess while waiting to go back.

IMAG0440Once she was back there, though, she wasn’t so sure. (Sorry for the blurriness)

IMAG0441She was great once I left and got those long nails grinded down in no time! She also had a nice little teeth cleaning :)

IMAG0449What a good dogter we have. I treated her to a walk in her favorite neighborhood and lots of belly rubs for being well behaved :)

Today I got one step closer to becoming a personal trainer. I renewed my CPR certification. This course also included AED training, which is near and dear to my heart because one of those boxes hanging on the wall actually saved my dad’s life. Best Invention Ever.

IMAG0135The teacher was a personal trainer as well, so we hit it off from the start. She was super nice and very informative. Of course we had to go through the motions of giving CPR on an adult, child and infant, including what to do if they are choking. Gotta love the mannequin/dolls we practiced on, haha…

After some more instruction and application I walked away CPR/AED Certified. Woo hoo!
