I did it again, but a bit faster.
My running schedule is going to be a bit off this week because I am going to the Florida Keys for a bachelorette party this weekend and can only hope to fit in a run there. Soooo, I did an easy 6 yesterday, my speedwork today, and I plan on doing 6 tomorrow and 8 outside Thursday. I did this workout on the treadmill last Wednesday and just had to one up myself a bit and do the last 3 repeats at a 6:18 pace… I love testing myself! My leg turn over was spot on, so I wanted to push myself a bit more than last week. Well, that AND my sister had to show me up and do this same workout OUTSIDE in the wonderful FL heat and humidity. What a baller! I better watch out or she’ll be speeding by me some day soon! She even showed up to Pilates after. We are so alike, haha. Class was awesome as always! I have been to Pilates with two different instructors and Kristin has been to three and we both agree that Mary Anne is the bomb! She does a great mix of upper/lower body exercises and stretching with core work always being the main focus. Hey, that’s what we all want right? Rock hard abs 🙂 I’ve said it a million times on here, but I love my Tuesday morning Pilates.
I look like a giant in that picture, haha. Kristin is actually taller than me in real life. I was a little worried about taking Pilates before a quality run. I didn’t want to be tired or lethargic. However, I think it actually helped because we all know I have tight hammies and this loosened them up enough for that awesome turnover I had 🙂
Since I nailed my run and already got my ab workout in for the day, I had plenty of time to grab some froyo with my twin (OK, not really) Melissa! When it comes to froyo, you go big or you go home…
Clearly I am attacking it. My flavor choices today- Blueberry Muffin, Pistachio and Chocolate Pudding!
