Magnet Mania!

WORKOUT

6 miles @ 8:25 pace on treadmill/ gym

Felt good on this run. I actually contemplated doing 8, but figured since I’m doing 8 tomorrow and it would be best to stick with 6 miles. The gym was OK. I got there later than normal, which meant there were more people there than normal. Luckily, I didn’t have to wait around too long for any equipment.

Todd and I have this little tradition to collect magnets wherever we go. We have been lucky enough to do quite a bit of traveling the past few years, thanks in part to Todd’s job. While it stinks really sucks, to have him gone for long periods of time, sometimes months, it always helps to know that at the end of his work trip I get to piggy back off of it and meet him wherever he is for a vacation! Sometimes he is in the middle of nowhere, like Clarksville TN, but other times it’s some place really cool like Italy! Not all of our vacays are associated with his work though… we travel for marathons too, of course! Can you figure out all the places we’ve been and if they were for running or not?

IMAG0653Running: Chicago, Detroit, Oklahoma, Nashville, Boston, Washington DC

Work Travel: Paris, Montreal, London, Hawaii (where we got engaged :)), Dublin, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris

Random: Honeymoon- Napa, Yosemite, Muir Woods. New Orleans

Did you guess correctly? The other fun stuff adorning the side of our refridgerator are a “Save the Date”/wedding invite for Britt’s wedding, USA magnet, photo booth shots with Todd and Kristin, my super helpful measuring cup equivalents and a magnet I made in elementary school. Notice my name is Heather Sc… that’s because there were 3, yes 3, Heather S’s in my class, haha.

Do you collect anything from your travels?

What’s on your refrigerator?

  1. I sorta started collecting shot glasses a few years back, but then kinda stopped. HA I only have four. I love magnets though, once I get my own fridge I swear the magnet hoarding will start!

  2. I love magnets!! I used to buy a bunch of them, but over the past year or so I’ve ended up throwing a few out – learned that they CANNOT have birds of any type on them or my cat knocks them off onto the floor. More times than not they break 🙁
