My Ibuprofen Theory
6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ Pilates
Pilates was awesome as usual! There was one section my abs were a-burnin! My run went well. Nothing sore or hurting. It’s crazy how only a few months ago I was running uncomfortably and now it cautiously better 🙂 Gotta love what a little rest can do, even if it drives you insane!
Speaking of my knee… I have forgotten to share this little theory with you. Back when I first started running again after taking time off for my knee, the doc told me to take 1-2 Ibuprofen with each meal. After a week so or I noticed I was super bloated and my weight was higher than normal. I couldn’t figure it out! I was running and sweating again, why was I feeling this way? I read the Ibuprofen bottle a million times, making sure I wasn’t missing a side effect or symptom…
Since I found nothing there, I did the next best thing… Googled it of course! There was a lot of information on NSAIDs and water retention. Ah ha! That would explain things. My theory is correct! So my friends, if you experience “weight gain” from taking Ibuprofen, have no fear! It’s only temporary 🙂
You know what else was temporary? The time the these fajitas spent on the plate last night at dinner 😉
