Protein Peanut Butter Cups?!

Nice run. Watched some super old Keeping up with the Kardashians while running… everything on the news was depressing or uninteresting, Food Network was infomercials, so E! it was.
I have read so many blogs that just rave about the Quest Nutrition Protein Bars. I have yet to try the actual bars, but I DID pick up their Quest Cravings Peanut Butter Cups the other day after Body Pump. I love Reese’s. Peanut butter and chocolate are the best combo ever. I figured if I could find an easy, healthier option, I’d give it a try…
The nutrition stats and ingredients aren’t too shabby. They are about the same size as the regular Reese’s and come in at 120 cals/piece with 10 grams of protein. If this was the nutrition for protein powder, I’d say no way, but since it’s coated in chocolate I don’t mind, haha.
You like my 26.2 key chain in the background 😉 Now I’m no dumby… I KNEW these weren’t going to taste like Reese’s and really had no expectations. The chocolatey part was yummy and the PB center was pretty good too, but it seemed overly salty. Not sure if I just got a bad batch or if they are always on the saltier side. They would be perfect after a sweaty run! Who doesn’t crave some sodium after sweating a lot? I think for the price of $2.99 I’ll keep these for special treats 🙂 Next up to try… their actual bars. They have a ton of flavors so it might be hard to choose!
