Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls

WORKOUT

6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill

My glute felt fine during my run, but I think my 1.5 hour drive home did a number to it. It was sooo tight when I got out of the car 🙁 No bueno! Lots of foam rolling ensued the rest of the day.

When I run, I don’t listen to music, but when I walk Riley I always have my mp3 player (which also has a radio feature). You would think it would be the other way around, haha. The other day on our walk, the song Waterfalls by TLC came on the radio. As random and unrelated to the song as it may seem, I instantly thought of Todd and I’s trip to Hawaii. Todd had work there and I was lucky enough to meet him out there toward the end. In case you haven’t read my “My TEAM” page, we got engaged there! It was a total surprise, too 🙂

our beachWe went to the Dole Pineapple plant, a surfing competition, and a luau. We hiked a lot and went to the Honolulu Marathon Expo! I totally would have signed up for it, but this was just after I had plantar fasciitis 🙁

We hiked up Diamond Head, went to the USS Arizona Memorial and ate at The Top of Waikiki 🙂

Then we made our way to Maui…

All of that background info, or should I background photo dump, only to leave you hanging until the Waterfall song comes into play tomorrow 🙂 Such a tease, I know, haha!

    • You can totally do it! Just remember you have to run fast to get fast… if that makes sense 🙂 but never underestimate the power of the slower recovery run. Get it girl!
