Happy Anniversary to Us!

Thursday: 4 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump

Everything felt good. Made sure to take extra long to stretch.

Anniversaries are always emotional for me, and today was no different. I love my husband more than he’ll ever know, and am seriously the luckiest girl in the world! I started the morning off right, laying in bed talking to Todd, followed by an easy run and of course pancakes! Thankfully, Riley woke up drool-less 🙂 I’m guessing she got a hold of a toad. She doesn’t eat them, she catches them in her mouth. They secrete a poisonous liquid that can cause a plethora of symptoms, including drooling. Even if it wasn’t that, I’m just glad she’s OK. Look at how cute she was when we first got her… pre-marriage. She was so small!

After seeing Cori do a post on her anniversary of several fun marriage questions, I thought it would be fun to link up with her and have Todd and I answer the questions to celebrate our third wedding anniversary! I answered the question before I sent them to him to fill out, so it was fun to compare our answers 🙂 Here’s a little glimpse into Mr. & Mrs. Winchell…

What are your nicknames for him/her?
Me: Baby, Love, Coach
T: Baby, Love, Monkey

List the first three adjectives that come to mind when you think of him/ her.
Me: Loving, Smart, Supportive
T: Beautiful, caring, loving

Why did you ask for/ agree to another date after the first one?
Me: There was something different (in a good way) about him… he was genuine and fun!
T: Because I wanted to see her again, duh.

I believe this was our first OFFICIAL date <3

Favorite current date night dinner place?
Me: We don’t really eat out, so most date nights are ice cream/froyo. But if I had to choose a dinner place it would be Osteria Natalina. We’ve only been there once but I loved it!
T: Sushi or DLites

Dinner at Osteria Natalina

If you had the entire day to spend together what would be your ideal day?
Me: No surprise here… run, pancakes, walk RY, maybe a movie or farmers market, a light dinner followed by some froyo and a nice massage.
T: Running, a relaxed breakfast, walking the dog, and just hanging out with an ice cream date later in the day.

How would you describe your wedding?
Me: Amazing! It was SO FUN. The ceremony was short n sweet and we celebrated the night away.
T: Small, meaningful, and perfect.

What has been the best part about being married?
Me: Having your best friend by your side every morning. Knowing, no matter what, he’ll be there for me. Planning our lives together in the present and future.
T: There’s always someone to help with the bad times, and savor the good times.

A night out on the town in San Francisco

What is your favorite vacation that you’ve taken together?
Me: It’s a toss up between Hawaii (where we got engaged) and Italy, but I think Italy pulls through as the winner.
T: Touring around northern and central Italy.

Checking out the Colosseum in Rome, Italy!

How does he/ she make you laugh?
Me: His sarcasm is hilarious.
T: Puts corny notes in my lunch so all my coworkers laugh at me.

What is his/ her biggest quirk?
Me: Repeating a commercial OVER AND OVER. Like, he doesn’t even realize he does it, haha.
T: Her weird thing with even numbers and having to have everything placed out the night before. Ex- My cereal bowl with spoon in it.

What do you value about him/ her?
Me: His love and support for me, and his hard work and determination.
T: Her caring affection – she treats me like a king.

Being tourists at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Muah!

What are you looking forward to in your next year of marriage?
Me: Baby making 🙂
T: Traveling East Asia together.

HAPPY 3rd ANNIVERSARY BABY! I love you more than words can say. You are my everything 🙂

  1. Happy Third Anniversary! You two are adorable, I love being able to see the two perspectives on a relationship… keep putting those corny… but I’m sure CUTE messages in his lunch 🙂

    • Thank you 🙂 Sometimes I make it less obvious and just write little messages on the rice crispy treats that have the white part of the wrapper blank. They also make fun of him for the applesauce brownies I send in this lunch. What? I only make what I’m going to eat, haha.
