Thanksgiving Foods Bad for Fido and a Failed Attempt at Tofu
Thursday: 5 miles @ 8:18 pace on treadmill
Friday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill
My mileage has been lower this week and my legs are feeling less sore than they were compared to even Monday. Oh, taper how I love and hate you.
With Thanksgiving approaching and my love for Riley and all dogs, I wanted to pass along this little PSA…
I was honestly surprised by all of them. I use 3, 6 and 8 on almost a daily basis. Glad I came across it! Onto other news… I tried my hand at tofu the other night. Key word, TRIED. After patting it dry, I sauteed it with some Italian seasonings until the edges got crispy and brown. It smelled and looked good, but tasted… interesting, haha.
Maybe next time I’ll go the traditional route and do something Asian-y. I have half a container left, so any EASY, minimal ingredient, recipes you’d like to share are more than welcome! I want to like this stuff and it’s not that I DON’T like it, I just don’t know how to prepare it well. See that zucchini and squash there? Well, I told you guys a while back about Ashley’s school having a “Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program.” I have since gotten a plethora of different goodies from her that the kids didn’t want/like, such as regular and purple cauliflower, bell peppers and the above squash and zucchini. They gave these kids the veggies in raw form with nothing to dip them in. Even I don’t eat raw squash.
I’m just glad Ashley doesn’t throw them away. I HATE wasting food- to the point that I’ll finish someone else’s plate if their just going to throw it in the trash- and am more than happy to take any extra veggies off her hands 🙂 Thanks Ash!!!
