My 1st BRICK Workout

WORKOUT Thursday: 4 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill Friday: 14.7 miles biking @ 16mph/ 3.1 miles @  7:42 pace on trail ****** I don’t have much time to train for my new triathlon endeavor… it’s only 7 weeks away. I know I need to hit up the pool ASAP- which I will on Monday!- but I decided to tackle the biking and running thing first, since I’m more comfortable with that 🙂 I met up with the T3 Triathlon team at my local Y for a Brick workout. This is when you bike first and then starting running right […]

Happy Hump Day and I’m TRI-ing Something New

WORKOUT Wednesday: 6 miles @ 7:53 pace on trail You guys are going to kill me, but it finally got cooler this morning (63 degrees) and I had such a nice run. I wore my watch, but again, didn’t look at my pace. It’s amazing what a few degrees, despite the humidity, can do to make a run easier. I am welcoming a small cold front this week with open arms 🙂 Oh, and I posted yesterday’s post before I took Body Sculpt and let me tell you… it was a straight up Step class, with a few weights thrown […]

Spartan Race Giveaway!

WORKOUT Monday: 8 miles @ 8:10 pace on trail Tuesday: Pilates/ Cardio Sculpt I was happy to get out on the trail again. The weather has been gross in the mornings, with tons of fog and only getting down to 70ish degrees. Monday was a bit better, so I ventured out. As usual, I started out slow- slower than I expected, around a 9:00 pace for the first half mile, but got in my groove and loosened up. Other than my initial pace, I tried not to look at my watch and just run by feel. I was happy to […]

Saturday Spectating and Sunday Thanksgiving

WORKOUT Friday: 6 miles @ 8:00 pace on trail Saturday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill Sunday: 6 miles @ 8:18 pace on treadmill Can you tell my new go to distance? haha. ****** My parents have always been my biggest supporters, especially in athletics. They spent countless afternoon/evenings driving my sister to and from soccer practice, gave up too many weekends and holidays to drive us around FL for tournaments and games. Not to mention the emotional side of winning/losing and the physical ailments that came along with what can be a rough sport. I haven’t played competitive […]

WORKOUT Wednesday: 4 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ Yoga Thursday: Body Pump- I am going to be SORE after this class! ****** Just an FYI- This is a totally random post. There have been so many fresh things I’ve been loving lately and I thought I’d share… You’re welcome 🙂 * Freshly painted toenails. I rarely paint my fingernails, usually only for races, haha, but I ALWAYS keep my toenails painted. Mainly because I have two toenails that could fall off if pulled the wrong way- but that’s another story 🙂 I am also cheap, so 90% of the time, […]

Ragnar FL Keys Finish

WORKOUT Monday: 6 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump Tuesday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ ABs vide0 ****** You can get caught up on my Ragnar FL Keys recaps here: Introduction, Part 1, Part 2 As I mentioned in Part 2… My last baton hand off was to Raechel, from van 2. I felt pretty lucky to be able to pass the baton to her! After our van finished our runs we had some time before we needed to be at the finish, so we grabbed some real food. Burgers, wings, and pizza were a popular choices. […]

My Laid Back Valentines Day Weekend

WORKOUT Saturday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace + 2 miles @ 8:00 pace with Ry on the trail Sunday: Rest ****** Let me just start off by saying that I am THAT super corny girl. Todd’s normal weekday morning routine is to wake up, have cereal for breakfast, shower and head to work- taking all of 25 minutes. I don’t know how he does it. Anyway, Friday morning he awoke to this: And was then surprised when he got to work and opened his lunch to find this… (OK, not laid out perfectly like this. Obviously I took this before […]

Ragnar FL Keys Part Dos

WORKOUT Thursday: 6 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill/ ABs video Friday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill My tight right hamstring is feeling better. Keeping the pace easy and the miles low this week as helped. So has LOTS of stretching and foam rolling. I even iced it after my run today. ****** HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I bet you thought Ragnar would take a backseat to VDay. Nope! In case you need to get caught up, HERE is part one. AND I forgot to tell you about another amazing part about our first major exchange… they had Krispy […]

Ragnar FL Keys Recap

WORKOUT Tuesday: 4 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill/ Pilates Wednesday: 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ ABs video My right hammie has been super tight since Ragnar. I’m not surprised though, it always tends to flare up after I push myself a little too much. That, combined with the little stretching and lots of van sitting doesn’t create the best post run atmosphere, haha. A week or so of easy miles should heal that baby right up. ****** We left off with watching Leslie at the start line… Once she was off and running, we jumped into our […]

Ragnar Florida Keys= A Super Fun Hott Mess!

WORKOUT Friday: 4 miles @ 6:59 pace in Miami Fri into Sat: 11.8 miles @ 7:29 pace on US1 headed into the Keys Saturday: 4.2 miles @ 7:29 pace in the Keys/ 4.4 miles @ 8 pace in the Keys Sunday: Rest/ Driving from the Keys back to Tampa Monday: Rest ****** Ragnar FLK. Done and Done. This weekend went by so fast, yet so slow at times. Just like every other race I’ve done, I can’t believe it’s already over and am experiencing the post race blues, haha. I honestly don’t even know where to begin in recapping my experience, […]
