An Easy Foggy Headlight Fix!

Before I get into the cheap, easy way to fix foggy headlights, I have to show you what my sister surprised me with… Magic Pop! And yes, half of the second bag was consumed in the car ride home 🙂 I can only find this stuff at the St. Pete Market, where Pam, Melissa and I went a few weeks ago, and I went through the one bag I got in no time, so Kristin came to my rescue when her and Rich went this weekend. Thank you, Kris! OK. Onto my trick… Todd and I saw this remedy on […]

Thursday and Friday Eats

Work has been pretty slow for me lately, making this whole not running/exercising thing even harder. More time to think about how I’m not able to run and beautiful weather also aren’t helping my cause! Todd’s usual work schedule has changed to more of a night shift, which is kind of nice because the AM is when I crave running the most, but it means I’m alone at night. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE having the mornings with him, making pancakes and walking Riley, but I miss him at dinner! He finally got to meet Ry and I’s friend […]

Who Keeps You Healthy?

Who keeps me healthy you ask? Who DOESN’T keep me healthy should be the question. My friends and family want me around for a long time (well, most of the time they do ;)) and Riley certainly wants me healthy so we can go on walks everyday! But if I HAD to answer the question with just one person/dog it would be future Baby W. The American Recall Center is doing a campaign this month about Healthy Heros and I’m joining the movement! It seems kind of weird for me to choose someone who isn’t even born yet to […]

Tangent Tuesday Posted On Wednesday

So ya… this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but then I got busy and didn’t get home until late because I went with my sister to Rich’s (her bf) baseball game. Of course they won, because they are ballers! HAPPY Double BELATED ST. PATRICK’S DAY! How did you guys celebrate? We started off our morning like we did last year, with green pancakes! Disclaimer… these are not green because of spinach. They were straight up Bisquick Heart Healthy mix pancakes with green food coloring, haha. The sausage was turkey sausage though 🙂 There was no long run this year, just […]

A Strawberry Sunday Funday

Last Sunday, my mom and I went strawberry picking! This time of year, the strawberry fields in Plant City, FL (about 45 minutes away) open their fields for people to come and pick their own berries. Sure, I could just go to Publix or a farmers market and get fresh strawberries, but let me tell you… there is NOTHING like a strawberry picked right off the plant! They are SO juicy and sweet. We went to Spivey Farms and the berries were plentiful! We ran into Pam and her family there! Can you guess which photos in the collage above were […]

The Fault In Our Stars

Soooo, now that I’m not exercising, I’m not sure what, if anything, I’m going to do to replace the WORKOUT section I usually start off with. For now, I’ll just jump right into the good stuff… I always read before bed. Sometimes I’m tired and literally only get through 2 pages, other times, it takes me an hour to fall asleep. I was on the hunt for a good book and came across The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. From Wikipedia: “The story is narrated by a sixteen-year-old cancer patient named Hazel, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, […]

NOT HAPPY. Plus Some Randoms

Monday: Body Pump, Swim, Run- 4 miles @ 8:30 pace on treadmill Tuesday: Rest- Doc appointments ****** I’ve been sitting in front of my computer screen for a good twenty minutes writing and re-writing a recap on how my doctors appointment went today. In the end, I’m deciding to keep it short, sweet and to the point. My apologies for the “girl talk” portion of this… I haven’t gotten my period for a year. To get pregnant, I need to get my period.  In order to get my period, I can’t put my body under any stress. So where does […]

A Battle Wound and Armadillo 5k

WORKOUT Friday: .25m swim w/ rests, 15m bike @ 16mph, 4m run @ 7:24 pace on trail Saturday: 1m warm up, 5k race, 2m cool down Sunday: Rest ****** I did another brick workout Friday, but decided to make it like a mock triathlon and swim before. I was in the Y pool by 8:30AM and swam a total of a quarter mile (the distance of the swim at Cocoa Beach) with several breaks throughout. The weather Friday was cold (50 degrees), windy and overcast. I almost didn’t swim- thank goodness the pool is heated 🙂 It also helped that […]

A Girls Lunch Date!

WORKOUT Wednesday: 8 miles @ 8:00 pace on trail Thursday:6  miles @ 8:00 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump ****** Wednesday I met up with my long lost friend Erica. She moved to Georgia a little over a year ago, but is BACK! We used to have weekly dates when she lived here before and it was great getting back to our usual routine 🙂 Erica’s daughter, Willow, is the cutest thing! She was so well behaved and polite and didn’t even need an electronic device to keep her entertained, which impressed me. We went to a local vegetarian place called […]

I Didn’t Drown!

WORKOUT Monday: Spinning/ Body Pump Tuesday: 2 miles outside w/Ry, Swim Lessons, 4 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill ****** I haven’t taken spinning in a long time. I know cross training is good, but when I’m training for a marathon, my mind is 100% into running and I don’t want anything else making me sore, haha. Now that I’m delving into the Tri world, I need to broaden my training. I thought spinning would be good, as they usually include hill work, which is hard to do where I live, as there are no hills, haha. Sure I could […]
