I was lucky enough to get in two runs outside this week, BOTH with girlfriends. Doesn’t get much better than that in the running world… at least mine for the time being 🙂 Saturday I met up with Marissa to keep her company during her 18 miler. She was great and didn’t mind when I asked to slow down or stop for water- which we did twice. The temp was around 78 degrees with 85%  humidity and it was surprisingly not as bad as I thought- I think I was just experiencing the runners high 😉

A local health food store, Jem’s Natural Living, had a grand opening for it’s cafe and I took full advantage of the deals and samples! I tried vegan brownies and cookies, green monster juice, fresh lemonade and kiefer with granola among other things. They even had a balloon artist/maker (?) who made me a flower corsage…

I bought a few fun things, but my favorite are the Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups! A healthier way to get my Reese’s fix 🙂 I haven’t tried the dark chocolate one yet, but if it’s anything like the milk chocolate, it’s going to be amazing. PS It was a little melted by the time I got home.

This past weekend we celebrated a friends marriage. They got married in Austria, but had a huge reception for their friends and family who couldn’t make it to the wedding. They had food, drinks, and dancing… all the fun things that come along with wedding parties. It made for a great date night 🙂

IMAG2295Love him! We also “celebrated” a friends new job opportunity. Sadly, though, this means he’s moving. He was one of Todd’s good friends at work and he will be greatly missed! It was a great little gathering for Happy Hour and I got to hang out with some of my favorite ladies…

IMG_5510And the highlight of my weekend was a lunch date at Cristino’s Coal Fired Pizza. I love love love their pizza, as you can read about HERE HERE and HERE It’s the best in town FO SHO!

Mmmm. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of the fat girl in me. I just love food so much, haha. This was the first time I was able to “only” eat 3 pieces. Now THAT’S self control. Hope you guys ate something delicious this weekend and are ready for a new week with new adventures!

  1. Haha I knew we were twinies I confess I’m a peanut butter cup junkie to lol 🙂 annnnnd you actually braved the outdoors for some runs woohoo!!! Sweaty but still woohoo!!!

    • You’d LOVE the pizza… minus the prosciutto! I would have gotten married in a far off land, too… if it didn’t cost an arm and a leg, haha.
