Lets get right to it… Last year, Lays held a flavor contest and I tried the three winning flavors and so this year, when they did it again, I knew I had to try them!

The Mango Salsa were really good and very mangoy. I really liked that they were the heavier, wavy chips. If you like mango, you’ll love these, as they are more on the mango side than the salsa side. As for the Cappuccino ones. SO GOOD. It’s hard to describe the taste, but it was definitely a cappuccino/coffee-ishย type flavor. I was really surprised at how much I like them! Maybe because I tend to favor sweet things? Not that they were sweet per say, but they weren’t savory either. Since they weren’t gross by any means, I feel like you should try them if you like chips. Next up… the Bacon Mac N Cheese and Ginger Wasabi flavors… stay tuned.

The other day at Trader Joe’s I found these Chicken and Cheese Tamales and Beef Taquitos…

They were so easy to make! Both things were heated up in the microwave in no time.

Todd and I agree that the tamales were the better of the two, but both were yummy and make for a great last minute dinner or snack. Paired with veggies of course!

As most of us do when we have issues of any sort, I’ve turned to Google and the world wide web for some helpful suggestions on getting pregnant. It came up with a million different things (no surprise there) and I took it all with a grain of salt. A few things that stood out to me were decreasing caffeine, increasing Omega 3s and using Maca Root powder.

I love salmon, but it’s expensive to eat several times a week, so I got myself some omega 3 fatty acids from TJ’s. After reading up on the maca root powder I came to the conclusion that it doesn’t taste very good and opted to go with pills for this, too. On the caffine front… I’ve been slowly trying to cut my delicious Cafe Du Monde coffee with a medium/dark roast decaf. So instead for 4 scopps of CDM, I’ll do 2 and 2 with the decaf. That way, I still get my coffee fix, without all the caffeine. While these things obviously aren’t a cure all, I figured it can’t hurt to try them.

Any old wives tales on how to increase hormones/fertility?

Hope you’re week is going well!!!

  1. Wow those chips look awesome. I don’t really have any tips for increasing fertility…if it’s been a while, I’d suggest chatting with your OB about your options. A friend of mine has been struggling for a year to get pregnant and her OB just put her on Clomid (definitely not all natural, but its the next step for her). I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

    • Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve definitely talked to my OB and know all the medicines and injections that can make me ovulate, but for now it’s a waiting game and trying naturally… at least for now ๐Ÿ™‚
      You should try the chips!!!
