Early Morning Confessions
I’m taking a page out of Brittany’s
book blog, Blissful Britt, and telling you my early morning confessions…
I only ran once last work week. Say what?!?! You read that correctly. Between a rest day, doctors appointment, soccer and body bump, I didn’t get around to running until Friday. Who am I? At least the weather was cool and it was a good run.
I forgot to mention two
resolutions goals of mine… better posture and holding my core in. They kind of go hand in hand, as it’s easier to have better posture when you’re not walking around with your gut out. I tend to slump over when I sit, and even when I stand sometimes, so I really need to remember to sit up straight at work. Holding my core in is just to keep those abdominals strong 🙂
I’ve been keeping a Trader Joe’s find from you guys. These little nuggets of joy are cocoa nibs covered in dark chocolate. They are super addicting, but since they’re cocoa nibs they are slightly bitter and you don’t end up eating a whole container of them. I buy 5 at a time and keep them in my purses and at my desk.
I read every night before bed. We all know my favorite night time activity is eating my shot glass of nut butter, but my second favorite is curling up in bed and reading. Sometimes it’s a few chapters, sometimes it’s a few pages. It all depends on how tired I am, but I always look forward to shutting my lap top, putting my phone on silent and having quite time to read.
Speaking of bed… I really need to wash Riley’s dog bed. AKA our folded up mattress pad. She loves sleeping on this thing and is too freakin cute.
Sometimes I wish we could just turn Riley into a human. Anyone else ever think about that with their pet? She’d be so smart and funny and well behaved. Just saying.
I love Cristino’s pizza. This was one of my top post long run lunches and I just can’t give it up. I may not have run 20 miles on Saturday (actually, it was only 4, plus body pump with my mom) but I still ate 3 pieces and enjoyed every bite. It’s a good thing this place is a 45 min drive and not right around the corner.
I feel like I thought of a billion more confessions during my run that I can’t remember. Don’t you hate that?! I always come up with great ideas or have deep thoughts when I run, but kind of like a good dream, I seem to forget them when I’m ready to put them on paper. Maybe there will be a part 2 to this post 🙂
What is your confession?
