WIAW: My Last Package

Happy Hump Day! Let’s celebrate by looking at pictures of food! PS There ended up being more links in this post than I imagined. They just go to explanations of whatever is linked, so feel free to explore my past 🙂

What I Ate Wednesday Button

I’m trying the whole apple cider vinegar thing in the mornings and it’s rough.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Handful of blueberries before I head to work.

Blueberries

Still going strong with my half bottle of water per cup of coffee, thing. Like that mug? I made it myself 🙂

Made my mug

The day’s yogurt: 2% Fage Greek Yogurt with my mom’s homemade cranberry relish from Christmas. Mixed at home, eaten at work.

Cranberry Fage

Obviously I had zoatmeal: 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, 1/3ish cup grated zucchini, vanilla cooked at 50% power for 5 minutes in the micro. Stirred in coconut creamer before pouring it into my container for work.

Coconut Milk Oatmeal

The coconut creamer really made the oatmeal whiter verse my normal oatmeal.

Smarties. Just because.

Smarties

I went to my parents for lunch. Left over grilled chicken, more roasted cabbage/onions/carrots and an unpictured side of lentils.

Chicken and Cabbage

Snackage of an apple and trail mix nuts- I snuck into Todd’s work stash! I’ve been loving the organic Braeburn apples from TJ’s lately. Two handfuls of nuts like below… more nuts (and chocolate) than usual because I forgot my pb&j 🙁

Braeburn AppleTrail Mix Nuts

Came home and did an easy 4 miles on the tready. I really need a name for her… her? him?

4 Treadmill Miles

Dinner was half of my LAST PACKAGE of Trader Joe’s Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli. I know Brittany will appreciate me still having a fall TJ’s product.

Trader Joes Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli

With a side of (again unpictured) steamed kale and my newest favorite way to eat green beans.

Green Bean Fries

Green bean fries. These are fresh, uncooked green beans, dipped in a mixture of ketchup and mustard and they taste crunch like fries. You need the mustard to combat the earthiness of the uncooked green bean. Kristin introduced me to this and now I’m obsessed. Just try it.

DLites with Pam

Finished the night off with a ice cream date with Pam. Halfway through eating and chatting I was like, Oh! I need to take a pic for the blog! Haha. Thankfully she reads HRF and totally understood 🙂

Thanks Jenn for the link up!

  1. I am soooo jealous you still had pumpkin ravioli. I have been indulging in the mushroom stuffed ravioli, however. I cannot wait until fall comes again.

    • I need to try the mushroom stuffed ones! We tried to lobster ones a while back and they were pretty good. But I mean, anything stuffed inside pasta with cheese gonna be good right?!

  2. HAHA YES to the ravioli. Did you freeze them? Love that mug you painted. Your treadmill definitely needs a name, which reminds me I’ve been using mine for over a decade and it doesn’t have a name. My mom bought it though so technically I don’t own it…which makes me feel detached from it other than our morning sweat sessions. We have spent many MANY hours together though…

    • Yup! I froze them. Tasted the same! Should have bought more when I could.
You might not have purchased your treadmill, but you certainly OWN IT! You and I both have quite the relationship with our treadmen?! Maybe I should make it a boy so I can say I have a date sweaty date with ______. Make Todd jealous 😉

  3. Pumpkin ravioli, ice cream, blueberries – seasonally ‘inappropriate’ foods 😉 ? I like it! Though I’m now craving ice cream but know that if I actually went and got some I’d be regretting that decision minutes in – it’s still been way too cold. Which flavours did you get?
Also, I think Tready is an okay temporary name for a treadmill already. Maybe you need to warm up to each other and develop a true relationship before you can settle on a name?!

    • Wow, you’re right, those are all seasonally inappropriate foods… didn’t even realize that! I got strawberry custard, butter pecan and bavarian chocolate. Yum!
Everyone uses “Tready” so i need to come up with something more clever. And trust me, we’ve had many many hours of sweaty pleasure together, (too much?!) bahaha I crack myself up.

  4. I loved this post! What are you doing with the apple cider vinegar? Shots? (Seriously thought, I’m intrigued).
I’m going to try the green bean trick whilst on vacation in CA this week as a snack. I find I buy blueberries with the intention of snacking on them randomly instead of something less healthy but then I never eat them.

    • I’ve read that ACV in the morning is good for your digestive system and ironically helps balance your bodies acidity level. So I’m mixing it with water and drinking it. It’s gross, I’m not gonna lie, haha, but hopefully I’ll see a difference.
Let me know what you think of the green bean “fries!”
And every time I buy blueberries I end up eating more of them on the drive home!
