WIAW: A Good Day of Eats
Welcome to another edition of What I Ate Wednesday! Thanks to The Big Man’s World for hosting!
6:45ish= Before work I had a banana. I love ripe bananas and Todd hates them. It works out well. I also like mine cold, so I put them in the fridge and it turns the peel brown, but the nanners still good!
7:30AM= Ready for a switch up?! I received some products from Vega as part of their #FuelYourBetter campaign and one was their Mocha Protein Powder. I blended up a shake with almond milk, ice, spinach and the powder right when I woke up and put it in a mug in the freezer to bring with me to work. 25 grams of plant based protein to keep me fueled through the morning. Boom. Who says you have to work out to enjoy a protein shake?!
8AM= Decaf coffee. Decaf Nespresso to be exact. I am making the switch now, so that when I’m pregnant I won’t suffer from withdrawals. A lot of people say, well what’s the point of coffee if it’s decaf and to them I respond that I like the taste of coffee, so I don’t mind decaf. Plus, the act of drinking it makes me happy.
9:30AM= That shake kept me full for longer than I imagined! Back to my regular scheduled program… Zoatmeal. Zucchini + oatmeal= breakfast with veggies. Can’t taste the zucchini. Just try it. I like to mix in Trader Joes coconut creamer at the end to make it nice and creamy!
12:30PM= I brought a huge salad to Easter lunch that had olives, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, shredded carrot and cucumbers, so I had left overs of that with some Bolthouse Farms new Greek Yogurt Creamy Basil Dressing. It’s SOOOO good. I’ve been a fan of their yogurt dressings for quite some time now.
Alongside that, I had some leftover salmon. Afterwards, Riley helped me do the dishes 😉
I also grabbed a VEGA Protein Bar that I was sent. A much better choice of snacks than the bag of candy that was on my desk when I got to work that day. Tasty too!
I had to stop at Publix on the way home and they have a thing called Aprons Simple Meals that provides a recipe card of what they’re making and a sample. I came at the right time and got a sample of chicken tortellini bake and a banana bonbon.
6:30PM= Dinner time! I won a giveaway on GiGi Eats Celebrities and received a ton of Explore Asian pastas. This night we had the black bean pasta that has 25 grams of protein (!!!) per serving, mixed with asparagus, chicken and pasta sauce. Yummo!
