TOLT: Friday Favorites on Thursday
Another Preggo PR. Are you guys annoyed with these yet? I promise I’m not trying to get faster and I don’t “speed up” on every run, but sometimes the legs are just feeling it. I mean, this PR is nothing huge, but it’s still a win in my book. 4 miles at just under a 9 pace, ~8:50.
Take home soft serve on the couch while treating my legs right! I’ve brought back the nights of wearing compression socks now that I’m running again. They really do help me recover faster. So does ice cream.
Body Glide. There’s no denying that I love running, but I’ve been chaffing more now, running 4 miles, than I did running 3 times that much. With the weight I had to gain to get pregnant PLUS the weight I’m gaining while I’m pregnant, there is extra jiggle everywhere. Body Glide is my saving grace 🙂 It goes ALL over.
Carrot cake. Homemade cakes come in two categories, 1) it’s good because it’s cake-duh, but MEH, it’s not really worth the sugar and cals and 2) HECK YES this is awesome. Number 2 is pretty much the definition of my mom’s cakes and has to be moist and have the perfect frosting to cake ratio. My friends who hosted the smoked turkey dinner also made a carrot cake and it was AWESOME. Right on par with my mom’s. That is rare.
Cute baby gifts. I was so surprised and elated when I got this cute little owl cap from one of my male coworkers wives. She wrote a sweet card and it really made my day 🙂
AND my sister’s boyfriends mom MADE, I repeat, MADE this cute little sweater. So impressed. I need to send her a Thank You card ASAP!
NUUN! I’ve been using this stuff like crazy to keep momma and baby hydrated! They’ve got a fun little promo going on…
