AUSTRALIA!!! My secret is actually a two-parter. Before I went out there 12 days ago, Todd had been in New Zealand for work for 2.5 months. A lot of my bump growing/changing/movement was missed by Todd and he was so surprised to see me and feel our baby girl move. This also means he wasn’t here for my accident which REALLY sucked. BUT we met up in Sydney and had one last kid free international vacation. We had a blast and I’ll be doing a blog on that soon ๐Ÿ™‚

I got back home just in time for my big 3-0 birthday! We went to my parents to celebrate with dinner and cake. My mom usually makes Todd fajitas as a welcome home dinner so I asked for that and just had mine in salad form so I could have more cake ๐Ÿ™‚

Fajita SaladFor dessert, I wanted something pumpkin (obviously) and in years past I’ve had pumpkin cheesecake andย pumpkin fudge, so this year I went with pumpkin cake!Pumpkin CakeIt was SO GOOD! I know some people are all about a light and fluffy cake, but I liked this denser, more pumpkin bread type of cake. It was super moist and pumpkiny! I also requested cream cheese frosting and my mom didn’t disappoint. Lots of sugary goodness to end the night ๐Ÿ˜‰Pumpkin cake extra frostingIt was the perfect way to end a vacation. I didn’t have to cook dinner, spent time with my family and even have leftovers for lunch and dessert today!

  1. Australia sounds wonderful. I know your husband was happy to see you. Happy Birthday too! I love any cake with cream cheese frosting, unfortunately. What do you call the pastry in the Australian pic? It doesn’t look familiar. I appreciate you linking with us today!

  2. If I was ever going to go overseas, I would want to go to Australia! This sound like a fabulous trip for you too! You look amazing too! That cake is seriously making me hungry and it’s barely 10:30!!! Thanks so much for linking up. I hope you and baby have a great week!

    • They funny thing is, it wasn’t really planned as a babymoon, just a last minute trip since Todd had to travel. Guess it worked out ๐Ÿ™‚ And thanks on the look, not sure if I like it yet or not, haha
