Pregnancy: Weeks 29-33
So here we are, at the end of week 33. I think it’s about time for a recap on the past few weeks. Check out my previous preggo recaps: weeks 1-7, weeks 8-12, weeks 13-16, weeks 17-20, weeks 21-24, and weeks 25-28.
Weeks 29-30 were spent in Australia, which, no surprise here, I still owe you a recap on the Cairns and Melbourne parts of our trip.
Weight Gain= I gained 17 lbs as of 28 weeks. Wk 29- 0, Wk 30- 1, Wk 31- 1, Wk 32- 1, Wk 33- 2. Total by 28 weeks: 22 lbs. Right on target for the 1lb a week in the second trimester. Last weekends shower, brunch and BBQ did me in though 😉
Cravings/Aversions= Nadda. Just all the food. Thankfully, veggies are still appealing. I’ve read that many women go back to the weird anti-veg thing in the third trimester, but thankfully, I’m still about about em! Of course, I’m having a hard time saying no to sweets and bread, but when has that NOT been difficult for me?! I’ve been trying to satisfy my sweet buds with nut butters instead, which seems to help!
Symptoms= Not much until last week when I started getting swollen feet. It seems to only happen after I eat out or eat a meal that’s high in sodium. My feet in the pic below lasted 2 days, but then went back to normal. Exercising helps a ton! I also seem to get full really fast, so I’m eating mini smaller meals. I am going to be the ultimate grazer at Thanksgiving, haha.
Belly Button= Half way out! It’s so cute!
Rings On/Off= On <3
Workouts= Elliptical and Body Pump. I usually do them every other day with one rest day. I feel like exercise has kept me from feeling tired. I know I still have plenty of time left, but I haven’t experienced that overwhelming tiredness that people talk about. Knock on wood.
Misc= I had my first baby shower last weekend and it was perfect. It’s hard to believe I’m finishing up my 33rd week, but at the same time, her due date seems so far away! We aren’t doing a nursery for her because we will be moving March/April-ish, so our room is set up with the pack-n-play, a dresser and all that good stuff. I’m kind of bummed about it, but I know most people don’t put their newborns in the nursery in the beginning anyways. We’ll definitely have her room decorated in the new house and I’ll be sure to share those pictures when the time comes.
My Friday Favorites are all weeks leading up to where I am now. This weekend we’re doing the hospital tour (on our 5th wedding anniversary <3) and I’m REALLY looking forward to it. Almost all of my friends have delivered at this hospital and in fact, I was born there, too! But I’m sure in the heat of the moment, knowing exactly where to go and what to do will be helpful. I hope we learn a lot 🙂
