Hospital Tour, 5 Years, CAKE!
Hey Hey! I feel like I start every post with an apology for not posting in a while… my bad. Things really aren’t THAT busy, but we’ve had a lot of random stuff to do that seems to take up so much time! Let’s get to it…
Last week I started getting this pain right under my belly button that went down a few inches. It wasn’t a sharp pain, but felt more like a bruise if you even touched it, let alone pressed on it. On top of that it was hurting to pee. Not like a UTI kind of hurting, but more like once I finished going I’d cramp up. It was really weird. So I called my doc and went it. Turns out, it’s all normal BUT she did an exam anyways and found out I’m already 75% effaced, but not dilated at all. I’m only 34 weeks as of Sat, 11/14, so for now I’m just supposed to take it easy. I’m pretty bummed that I won’t be able to do Body Pump or the elliptical anymore, but I don’t want her coming this early!
Just to let you know (since I had no clue) I could be 75% effaced for a month. So it’s nothing to crazy, I just have to refrain from being too active. Been there done that a few times this pregnancy, haha. Guess it was right on time that we did the hospital tour and class this weekend.
It was Sat and Sun from 1-5:30! SO long. Sadly, we didn’t learn as much as we’d hoped. Saturday was also Todd and I’s 5th wedding anniversary! I thought it would be cool to do something baby related, but ya, not so much. It was still nice to spend all weekend with him and talk about the baby and how much our lives are about to change!
Sunday after class, we went to my parents to celebrate my sisters birthday. She wanted a childhood favorite of stuffed peppers!
For dessert she requests a new family favorite: brown sugar butter cake with white chocolate oreo frosting. SO rich and SO good!
I can’t even. I’ll wrap this up on the high note of pictures of cake, haha. Hope everyone is having a great week!
