Weekly Workouts: 2/15 – 2/21

Monday: Body Pump. Almost made it through the whole class… had to change her during the lunge track because she had a poopy diaper. That’s OK though, my legs were a bit sore from the 12 miler the day before.

Body Pump Sidekick

Tuesday: 6 miles @ 8:05 pace on treadmill. Added a few new Kara Goucher pics to the treadmill. I need to get that awesome one of Shalane and Amy!

New tread pics

Wednesday: Body Pump. Took an evening class, so I enjoyed one of my last mornings on maternity leave and soaked up some snuggle time. Those cheeks!

Snuggle time

Thursday: 6 miles @ 8:35 pace on treadmill. Easy-ish run that got my legs moving without putting too much stress on them.

Friday: 4 miles @ 9 min pace on treadmill. Took it easy because of the Gasparilla half marathon on Sunday, then headed to the expo with Stephanie.

Will run for booty

Saturday: Body Pump.  I didn’t do squats or lunges to save my legs but I did get my hair done! Don’t judge the lack of make up 🙂

Sunday: GASPARILLA HALF MARATHON!!! 1:50:38/ 8:22 pace. I’ll write more on this later, but I had a great race! My goal was to have fun and finish under 2 hours, as this was my first race post baby, and that’s what I did 🙂

As usual, I’m linking up with Erin for my weekend snapshot, Katie for MIMM and the weekly wrap!

    • I still live in workout clothes… having to actually get ready for work is going to suck haha. You’ll be back at it after #2 🙂

  1. Congratulations! That is an incredible finish time for a post baby half marathon. I hope your transition back to work is an easy one for you. Thanks for linking with us Heather.

  2. What an amazing post-run race and training! I’ll definitely be following your posts as inspiration – I’m 23 weeks now and trying to keep running through my pregnancy. We’ll see how it goes!

    • Thanks and GOOD LUCK! I was able to run until about 28 weeks and then went to the elliptical and body pump until week 34 when I was put on bed rest. I think working out REALLY helped my delivery and recovery 🙂

  3. What an impressive time! Ahhh to be able to run a sub 2….. Wonderful job how are these paces compared to pre-baby? I know for me leaving my baby and going back to work was so hard but there was no other option for me. My mom did it and so did my grandmother! You’ll get through it. Thanks so much for linking up with us Heather!

    • That pace was about a minute slower than my normal race pace so I’ve got a lot of work to do! I know going back will be hard, but I’ll get through it!
