Lots of Pictures!

Everyone loves pictures, so here’s my life happenings lately in pictures!

Alter G WHAT!?! Jolene was rehabbing her knee on this bad boy and I was able to give a try. I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t stop smiling. I was running at a 5:56 pace here! So fun. So neat. I need one.AlterG

Kara loves to give open mouth kisses and I enjoy every slobbery one <3KissesI’ve gotten some good (really sweaty) runs in! I’ve also had a few rough ones… but that’s for another post.

GarminA) Kara lives in diapers on the weekends B) Her crying face is cute sometimes C) When she passes out, she’s out!

Yummy eats! I like to balance out the good with some treats. Taco salad with lean ground beef, peppers, salsa, avocado. Chicken and kale sausage with sauteed peppers and onions. Lenny & Larry’s now has a 2oz cookie, which is half the size (and calories, 180) as their regular one. It’s the same circumference but it’s not as thick. This is good for me because I can never stop at half a cookie and I don’t need to be eating 360 calories and 30g sugar on the reg.

I’ve been taking my recovery very seriously! I like to call this my yellow recovery. Yellow Legend Compression Socksย and Lemon Cake Halo Top. Kara wanted to get in on that pancake action… I don’t think so little girl! The pancakes are Kodiack Power Cakes. Just like the Halo Top, they have a great ratio of carbs to protein and to me are a perfect post run food ๐Ÿ™‚

And last but not least, we got Kara a fun little fan for our walks to the pool. It’s super hot out, even if we get out early, so this keeps our little girl cool as a cucumber.

Kara's Fan

OK, one more! We got her a floaty thing that she played so hard in she fell asleep ๐Ÿ˜‰

Iโ€™m linking upย withย Erinย for my weekend snapshot,ย Katiefor MIMM and the Weeklyย Wrap!

    • Thanks on Kara and the runs ๐Ÿ™‚ She was so precious we didn’t want to wake her, but she can only take so much sun.

  1. Kara is the cutest! You are right, even when she cries she looks cute. And I love the little fan! We may need to invest in one for our newborn.

    • It’s a life saver in the summer! It was pretty cheap on Amazon and comes in different colors ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I used an Alter G a few times last spring when my shin was starting to bother me- it was amazing… so much fun!! And that last picture is amazing. My girls never fell asleep randomly like that!

    • I hope to never have to use it for an actual injury, but what a great option! I had a girlfriend say the same thing about Kara sleeping, haha.

  3. How cool you were able to try the Alter G! The baby fan is such a great idea. Kara sure is cute (even when crying) and growing up so fast. Thanks for linking, Heather.

    • Trying that thing out is definitely in my top list of cool running things! I’m so glad we found the fan. It’s foam so even if she reaches up and touches it it won’t hurt her ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ We’re hoping she’ll be a water baby. The cookies do make for a good post workout snack!

    • They have them more places than I expected. They’re just expensive to use- unless you get a free trail ๐Ÿ˜‰
