This kid and her wispy hair! She used to have such a full head of dark hair… not so much anymore. At least she’s still cute <3
Sometimes you just need help slowing down on those easy runs… this is when a friend who’s looking to you to get faster (like I do with Jolene) comes in handy. I help pace her to a faster time, which MAKES me slow down. Win-Win.
Had dinner over at my parents this week (Todd had a quick work trip to Mexico) and my mom whipped up a healthy and delicious meal! Grilled pork loin with mango salsa and roasted broccoli/cauliflower- yummo!
I burned myself making muffins on the top rack of the oven when I was pulling them out. OUCH! Said muffins were a welcome home for Todd. Pain is love 😉
Wednesday’s midweek run and Sunday’s Long Run were both FILLED with tempos. I always nail my treadmill tempo runs, but outside in the heat/humidity/sun (it’s always sunny at the end, even when we start uber early! FL is the sunshine state after all 😉 is killer. My Sunday run was much harder. I had 4 tempos after the 8 easy and even after adjusting the pace, I could only do 2. I felt light headed again like 2 weeks before. Kara really must’ve done a number to me hormonally because I never used to struggle this much, but I am losing WAY too much water. Time to make a doc apt… or try salt tabs 😉
Had another yummy lunch from Whole Foods… it was burger weekend or something and they had SO many burger samples around the store. I’m pretty sure I ate a whole burgers worth before even reaching the hot bar! Threw in a froyo date, too for good measure.
And this finally happened… she’s been pulling up on everything and now her crib can be added to the list! Exciting times 🙂
