A Pretty Great Week/End: Running, Babies & Food
Happy Monday!!! Here’s a rundown of my pretty great week/end… On Wednesday I had a hard workout on the plan and I killed it. I love comparing this training cycle to the last (which wasn’t that long ago) because the paces are getting faster 🙂
On Friday I had another great run with Jolene. We never go out with a pace in mind, we just run and chat and see where we’re at <-a little rhyme for your Monday 😉
Friday afternoon we decided to have dessert first and met up for an ice cream date! Kara even got a goodbye kiss…
Then we went to my mother-in-laws for dinner: pot roast, potatoes, carrots, green beans a Hawaiian rolls.
Saturday was baby crafting day! We usually do feet based crafts because it’s easier, but most of the Thanksgiving ideas involved hands, so we went with it! I think Kara’s masterpiece turned out pretty darn cute!
Sunday was my favorite day! The weather was (almost) perfect for my planned marathon pace run: low 50’s with low humidity, but windy. Jolene was kind enough to pace me and it worked out great! Like, really great! I wanted to run around 7:45-7:50 and ended up with 7:41!!! I took a gel at miles 4 and 9 of the pace segment and that worked out well. I can’t thank Jolene enough and I am SO stoked about this run. Pretty sure I’m still on a runner’s high this early Monday morning from it 🙂
Sunday afternoon, we met my parents and sister/boyfriend up for pizza at Cristino’s (one of my fave post run spots). Todd and I split a pizza with procscuitto and basil- SO GOOD! Those 4 pieces hit the spot and Kara was lucky enough for me to share with her…
Then we were off to meet Kara’s new cousin… Henry! He’s still a puppy and very rambunctious. Kara loved him 😉
Hope everyone has a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving! Remember to tell those you love that you’re thankful for them and every thing they do <3 I’m linking up with Erin for my weekend snapshot, Katie for MIMM and the Weekly Wrap! Have a great week my friends!
