Kara got her first time out at Daycare last week! She pulled a kids hair in the morning and then did it again in the afternoon. Ana said “NO, Kara!” And Kara started crying. She doesn’t like the word no, haha. So Ana said, “OK, Kara, let’s go to timeout.” And she sat on a little bench. I think it’s hilarious that a one year old is in time out, but it’s never too early to set the ground rules, right? (Random picture of Kara and Nana this weekend :))
I’m taking a little time out from running right now. After two very successful marathons post baby (10 months:Towpath & 13 months:Disney), I think my body needs a break. I’m still going to keep active, just much less intense!
I’m also taking a time out from sugar… well, not completely 😉 but all the crap at work. That’s what really gets me. I have one piece or bite of something and it ALWAYS leaves me wanting more. And trust me, there is always more around! I HAVE to start being better about saying no. Healthier sweet options will be my treat for now. At home. In a controlled environment, haha. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Halo Top was pretty darn good! But the Mint Chip is still my fave.
Can we just say that the manufacturers of Vanilla need to get a time out… Have you seen the price of vanilla extract lately?! I found it for $25 at BJ’s, but even Wal-Mart’s prices are high. I just can’t justify paying that much… but I use it in my oatmeal every day. UUGGGHHH.
We took a little time out from our morning walk on the weekend to play at our community park. Kara loved swinging, sliding, and climbing, but she loved walking from one area to the next carrying the wood chips the most. Silly girl! I just love this stage of her life. She is so much fun <3
