Month: September 2017

Last week started with Todd coming home from a short work trip to DC and a doctors appointment for me. It ended with plenty of running, food, family and fun! I did 2 easy 6 milers, one 10 x 400 (.25 miles) @ 6:27 pace workout and got in 8 wonderful miles with Jolene on Friday. Friday afternoon Kara and I had our usual Froyo date, but my parents joined. Kara was SO excited when they walked in. Saturday began the normal way, with Kara and pancakes. She slept until 8:45!!! I ended up getting up around 8:30 which is […]

Kara Todd Israel

It’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve blogged and I blame it on Irma! Last week started with the hurricane, which came in Sunday night into Monday. I’ll do a whole separate post on that, but it affected a lot. Luckily, we didn’t have any damage, but a lot of people lost power, including our work. We got a text Monday that work would resume Wednesday. We got in on Wednesday and after an hour were told to go home because the AC wasn’t working and we were still on a generator. Great. We picked up Kara and went home Thursday […]

I did 1 amp (75ml) of Follistim for 10ish days, then added half an amp of Menopur for 6 days. We finally got to a potential trigger day and boom- too many follicles again. My M.O. seems to be that my follicles take a long time to start growing, but once they do, they take off! That’s a perfect marathon race plan (negative splitting) but not so much for IUI. I […]

My Beautiful Kara

I’ve been logging some pretty great mileage the last month or so! I can 100% say that it has made a huge difference in how this cycle of injections has gone. Both mentally and physically I’ve been in a better place. Not being able to exercise makes me feel like crap and that’s what I had to do at my previous Reproductive Doctor. Not only was I bloated from the meds, but from not being able to sweat. (TMI: and not being able to crap! exercising keeps me regular!) So this go around I’ve been in a much better place. […]
