Thinking About How I Run Q&A

I’m thinking out loud this Thursday with a fun running quiz. We all know how much I like to talk about running and not that I’m back at it I can’t stop thinking about it <3 1. Would you rather run on a beach path or a mountain trail? This is tough. I’m going to have to say beach path. I’d rather hike a mountain trail so I can take time to soak in all the gorgeousness. 2. If you could choose the flavor of Gatorade at your next race’s aid stations, what would it be? BLEH! I’d choose Nuun […]

Nuun, Boston Bandits, a Date (or 2) and Pancakes

Have you guys and gals heard of NUUN Energy yet? Well it’s awesome. I got a sweet care package from them introducing the new tablets of joy and not only did I enjoy the goodies… Riley did, too! Ohhh our little trash dog! I wrote about the stupid radio jock who thinks Meb winning Boston was a rigged, but I just recently heard about some Boston Bandits. Check out this post Doppelganger Gang that goes more into detail. I couldn’t believe it! Not running is still really hard! To fill my mornings, I’ve been having dates with my girlfriends. Marissa recently […]

Oops! Missed My 1 Year Blog Anniversary

WORKOUT Saturday: 6 miles @ 8:15 pace on treadmill Sunday: Rest/ Kristin ran her first marathon! Monday: 4 miles @ 8:00 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump Tuesday: 6 miles @ 8:16 pace on treadmill/ Pilates ****** One year of blogging. What?! I crack myself up because I didn’t even realize it… it was yesterday, actually. The whole idea of creating a blog started when I trained my a** off to PR in the Tallahassee Marathon on Feb. 3, 2013, only to get injured and not be able to race. I needed an avenue to vent and Todd had just about […]

Rosemary Bread Goodness

WORKOUT 6 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ Weights Had a nice easy 6 miler on the treadmill today. Nothing was really sore or hurting, so that was a nice change I finally got my butt back to the gym to pump some iron. I usually stop doing any weights the week before a marathon and the week after to let my body focus on recovering the already damaged muscles. I could definitely tell it had been a while since I had lifted. I’ll be a good kind of sore tomorrow, haha. ****** I have to apologize. I can’t believe I didn’t tell you […]

Roaming around Boston Paaaht 2

WORKOUT 8 miles @ 8:25 pace on treadmill I had no intention to run 8 miles this morning. My right quad seems to be taking it’s sweet time recovering, so I’ve been sticking to the tready to lessen the impact on my knee and muscles. I guess that runner’s high just took over… or maybe it was because Kelly & Michael came on and I was distracted, haha. I can’t believe I’m still a bit sore from Boston. Next hilly race I do, I WILL train for it. ****** Our second day of sight seeing in Boston was of course, […]

Roaming around Boston Paaaht 1

WORKOUT More freakin rest. I am so over rest, you don’t even know. I tried to run on the treadmill this morning, but my quads were just not having it. I am NEVER this sore, but I know it’s my own fault… with all of the bombing commotion after the race, I was totally side tracked and didn’t stretch. At. All. Ugh. ****** Our first day in Boston consisted of settling into our hotel and hitting up the expo, which I covered HERE and HERE. When we arrived to our hotel, Todd and I immediately unpacked our suitcase and I […]

A BIG Thank You

WORKOUT 6 miles @ 8:26 pace on treadmill I was going to run this outside today (one last run on the trail I trained on:)) but when I woke to 76 degrees and 90% humidity, I headed for the treadmill. Weaksauce, I know, haha. My knee was OK, same ole same ole. I plan on running an easy 4 miles tomorrow and resting Sunday so I’ll be ready to bust out an awesome 26.2 miles on Monday 😉 ****** I’ve been receiving a lot of support from family, friends and Facebook/Blog friends for Boston and feel so grateful. It’s almost stupid how […]
