Pregnancy Weeks 13-16 & Some Randoms

Not much of a difference between weeks 13 and 16, although it certainly felt like I was bigger! Weight Gained: 8 lbs. Workouts: I can finally RUN! Once I got into my second trimester, I was finally cleared to exercise more. I’ve been doing 3-4 miles at around 9:30 pace. That’s about a minute and a half slower than my normal pace, but who cares… I can run <3 Symptoms: Sore boobs, still. Already having to pee in the middle of the night. Honestly, I’ve always gotten up to pee at some point in the night, but now it comes on more […]

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

WORKOUTS Sunday: Rest Monday: 4 miles @ 8:34 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump Tuesday: 4 miles @ 9:17 pace outside/ Pilates Wednesday: Rest ****** THE GOOD Buy one get one free LaCroix sparkling water at Publix. I love a good BOGO. I’m a pretty big fan of LaCroix- even if it is super carbonated- and this was my first time trying the peach-pear flavor. Ehhh. I could take it or leave it. I probably won’t buy a whole case of it again, but it’s good on occasion. Riley photo bomb! Marker selfies… as Addy like to call them. Check out […]

BOOM!, Fried Chicken and Queen-o

WORKOUTS Sunday: 2 warm up + 12 @ 7:19 + 2 cool down Recap below. Monday: 4 miles @ 8:20 pace on treadmill/ Body Pump ****** As I wrote in Saturday’s post, I was nervous about this run. Tempos and marathon pace runs are my favorite workouts. I’ve done a million of them (OK maybe not a million) but I still get anxious before every one, haha. Going into the run I decided on an 7:25 pace, the higher end of Nichole’s recommendation. I wanted to be conservative as, while the weather was cooler (73 degrees and 85% humidity) it’s no […]

5 Things Friday!

WORKOUT Thursday: 2 miles @ 8:35 pace on treadmill Yay for running! After consulting my “coach”(Todd) we decided that after 2.5 weeks of rest, it was time to give running a shot again. My glute doesn’t feel too much better than it did before my rest break, but I think this might be like my knee and need more of an active recovery than just plain old rest. We’ll see. Friday: 6 miles @ 8:35 pace on treadmill I woke up this morning feeling the same as every other morning in the glute department. I was worried I was going […]

Stupid, Stupid Heather

WORKOUT Tuesday: Rest/ Pilates Wednesday: Rest/ Daily Push-ups and core work I’m on day 3 of my “rest” week and I am growing restless! How did I ever get through 2 whole months when my knee was hurt?! ****** Sooooo, I think I know how I hurt my glute. Remember the below picture from THIS post? Ya, well, I think lifting my leg up and holding it there right after my run and try to take a picture is what did it. The things I do for you people. Ha. I know I will never really KNOW how I hurt […]

Lunch On Limoges

WORKOUT  Rest/ Weights My glute was feeling much better, but to play it safe, I took another day off. I was going to do Body Pump but since half of that class is squats and lunges (working my glute), I decided to stick with only upper body/core for today ****** Todd’s mom has been wanting to try this lunch place, Lunch On Limoges, in Dade City for a while now. For those of you not familiar with Tampa and it’s surrounding areas, Dade City is about an hour and a half from Tampa. They are closed on Sundays and this […]

Tangent Tuesday

WORKOUT Monday: 8 miles @ 8:14 pace on trail I was successful in keeping it easy outside today. I tend to run my easy runs outside faster than I should. I try to keep my easy/recovery pace between 8:15-8:30. This is easy to do on the treadmill because I can set it and forget it. Outside, I start out slow, but as I warm up- or should I say loosen up, as I’m “warm” the second I step outside, haha- I get into a rhythm and just go. Maybe it had something to do with my tight right glute, but […]
