Happy New Years everyone! As with every holiday and big event that passes, I can’t help but think, man, it’s already over. Where did 2015 go?! Seems like just yesterday I was recovering from last NYE! Let’s take a look back at the big events in my life from 2015 for this Friday’s Favorites… 2015 started with Todd having to travel to Israel for work for a few months. I was lucky enough to be able to tag along and got to explore the country. Swimming in the dead sea, tasting the yummy food, running a half marathon in Jerusalem […]

Confessions and Weekly Recap

I love Brittany’s “Early Morning Confessions” posts and occasionally I steal her idea (best form of flattery ;), like today. I confess… *I am so pale. SO. PALE. Seriously, you’d think it was winter and I was stuck inside due to a month long snow storm. It’s bad. I notice it the most in Body Pump when I’m wearing shorts and a tank. I’m trying to actually look like a Floridian and laying out when I can. I love reading while laying out. Currently reading Orphan Train and I’m digging it. Like my Kara Goucher bookmark? *I had a comparison moment. A lady […]

I Ran Outside.

This is more of my Friday Favorite. Without the ‘S,’ so I’m linking up with Heather and Clare. You guys. I finally did it. I took the plunge and ran outside this week. Side note, I included quite a few links to older posts for new-ish readers. It seemed like a lot of info was hidden in this post and it was a good time to reminisce or get to know me better The last time I ran outside was 5 months ago in the Jerusalem Half Marathon, while visiting Todd in Israel (each link is a part of the trip […]

Thinking Out Loud Thursday

Just some thoughts to get you through the end of the week… I think Chick-Fil-A is SO GOOD. Always have, so no this isn’t a preggo craving. There’s just something about it that puts it over the top. And FYI if you order it sans butter on the bread you save some calories and sat fat and it tastes the same. Promise. I think these tissue are brilliant. They are white until you get to the last few, which are a peach color so you know you’re running low. So simple, yet so smart. I think color changing spoons are the bomb dot com! […]

My First (real) Child

Just had to pop in on this fine 4th of July for a little announcement… Baby Winchell Due December 2015 I’ll get into more details later, but seeing as I’m 15 weeks today (Saturday) I figured it was about dang time I told you guys We are beyond thrilled and excited, as are our family and friends! My original “My First Child” post was certainly a sad one and we think Riley held on until she knew everything was OK with me and the Baby. I was 9 weeks pregnant at the time and that made it so much harder. […]

My First Child

I bet I can guess what you’re thinking… Well… you’re wrong. This post is dedicated to my first child, my dogter, my Riley. You may have noticed that she hasn’t been on the blog lately. I mentioned in THIS POST that things were really rough in the Winchell household and it was directly related to THIS POST and THIS POST where I talked about how Riley had been throwing up and not feeling well. Turns out, she had an aggressive form of cancer. After a month of meds, her not eating anything (not even PB, beef, chicken, doggie ice cream, […]

Better Late Than Never

Good Monday Morning Ya’ll! I got pretty lazy over the weekend about blogging so I’m doing last weeks recap today. I’ll keep it short and sweet. Let’s start with the awesome deal I got on this “mini” watermelon. A) It’s not that mini and B) it was only $2.50. Heck yes! Watermelon for DAYS. With Riley not feeling well and throwing up on a regular basis, we had been using 409 Carpet cleaner and while it’s works good, some of the darker stains (like this one) just wouldn’t come out. So Todd found this cleaner on Amazon and it works […]
